1709 Chestnut 3

17th and Chestnut Residences

1709 Chestnut is located at the intersection of Chestnut Place and 17th Street in the Union Station neighborhood of downtown Denver, one of the most exciting new urban mixed-use neighborhoods in the country. Designed by Shears Adkins Rockmore, the project consists of two high-rise, multi-family buildings with approximately 500 apartments including studios and one and two bedrooms. The north tower is 21 stories on top of a podium parking structure with two levels underground and three above ground. The south tower is a nine-story structure with a total of six levels of parking, with two of those underground.

Common areas including a pool and rooftop clubroom, approximately 20,000 sq. ft. of street-level retail, and 500 spaces of structured parking.

This project is located in a highly compressed site in a congested area with pedestrian and vehicular traffic at Union Station. Saunders developed a highly detailed site logistics and safety plan to ensure no incidents and minimize the burden of construction operations to the traveling public.
