NCAR-Wyoming Supercomputing Center Breaks Ground
Saunders officially broke ground on the new NCAR (National Center for Atmospheric Research) Wyoming Supercomputing Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The NCAR Supercomputing Center is a new 154,000 sf data center that will offer one of the largest and most powerful scientific tools in the world. The goal for this new facility is to support NCAR’s research programs which study atmospheric conditions throughout the world and produce weather models which will calculate, track, and predict weather patterns for the next 50 to 100 years.
