The facility will be equipped with two state-of-the-art labs, and is wrapped around an open collaborative learning space.
A few unique design attributes include:
Column at main entrance inspired by the molecular structure of DNA
Fenestration patterns derived from the Fibonacci series
Lines of latitude and longitude displayed on the floor of the hallways
Starfield used as led light pattern in main entrance
Collimated beam of light to illuminate central stairway and for optical experiments
The school will be the most energy efficient facility in the school district decreasing the operational costs by half of the amount of similar facilities that meet energy code requirements. This building will be a functional example of sustainability for students and future generations.
